Dear Women Political Leaders, dear friends,

In the upcoming months, WPL is proud to host a number of initiatives globally. In cooperation with the Rwandan Government and National Parliament, on 27-29 April 2018, the WPL Africa Representation will be formed in Kigali, Rwanda. Rwanda is the clear choice as the location for the WPL Africa Office, the results from the country’s policies and laws in favour of gender equality and women empowerment speak volumes. In June, we are delighted to welcome at least 250 female political leaders from all over the world to the WPL Summit, which this year will take place in Vilnius (Lithuania) on 6-8 June, under the patronage of Her Excellency President Dalia Grybauskaite of Lithuania. In 2018, Lithuania celebrates 100 years of independence and 100 years of women's voting rights – a landmark political anniversary.

New Ambassadors

WPL is pleased to announce three new WPL Ambassadors. WPL Ambassadors serve as the main point of contact for cooperation and WPL initiatives and events, in their respective countries. WPL Ambassadors are first appointed in their capacity as a senior member of Parliament, appointed by the President of their Parliament. For several of our Ambassadors their career has since evolved and some are now in different positions of political leadership, either as Ministers, Mayors, Vice-Presidents etc. We are looking forward to a fruitful cooperation with Ms. Wafa Bani Mustafa for Jordan; Ms. Amal Deroua for Algeria; and Ms. Nelia Tazi for Morocco. https://www.womenpoliticalleaders.org/wpl-announces-three-new-ambassadors-morocco-algeria-jordan/
